  • What benefits do I receive as a Visa Infinite or Visa Signature cardholder?
    • Eligible Visa cardholders’ complimentary cellular data roaming for use in over 175 countries.
    • NOTE: THE COMPLIMENTARY PLAN CANNOT BE USED IN THE COUNTRY OF THE CARD ISSUER.
  • Do I have to download the GigSky app to be eligible for this benefit?
    • Yes. You must install the GigSky app on an unlocked eSIM-capable device, create a GigSky account and set up your Visa card as the default payment method to be eligible for this benefit.
  • Who is eligible for these benefits?
    • Check the list of eligible Visa cards on the GigSky Visa landing page or in the GigSky app. If your card is listed but you are not able to see the complimentary GigSky Visa data plan, reach out to GigSky Care. If your card is not listed, contact your card Issuer.
    • NOTE: Eligibility is subject to an issuing bank including the GigSky benefit.
  • What phones and devices are eSIM-compatible?
    • Most phones, including iPhones and Androids, as well as cellular-enabled iPads and Microsoft tablets, are compatible. Check with your device manufacturer for more information. If your device isn’t eSIM-compatible, you’ll need a GigSky SIM card, which you can purchase on Amazon.
  • Can I transfer my plan to a different device?
    • Unfortunately, no. An eSIM can be installed on a single device only, so you must use that device.
  • When does this offer expire?
    • The offer expiration date is at the issuer’s, Visa’s and GigSky’s discretion.
  • What countries do you offer within the Visa + GigSky benefit plan?
    • The Visa + GigSky benefit is available in over 170 countries and territories, depending on the specific card issuer and type.
  • What is included in the complimentary Visa + GigSky benefit?
    • GigSky offers a 100% data plan, so users will be able to call and message via data using apps such as WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage and FaceTime. You will not be able to make or receive a traditional voice call or send and receive SMS text messages. You can also use your hotspot with the Visa + GigSky benefit using your complimentary global, mobile data plan.
  • How do I redeem my complimentary GigSky global mobile data plan?
    • To redeem your complimentary GigSky global mobile data plan, install the GigSky app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on an unlocked eSIM-enabled device and set up an account. Follow the in-app prompts to discover and redeem your GigSky global mobile data plan.
  • How many times can I redeem this benefit?
    • The number of times you can redeem this benefit is determined by your card issuer.
  • If I’ve already redeemed a complimentary GigSky global mobile data plan, when will I be eligible for another global mobile data plan?
    • Eligibility parameters and timeframes are determined by card issuers.
  • How will my Visa card number be used?
    • Your Visa card number will be used to securely verify your card’s eligibility for this benefit. Following the initial verification, GigSky will tokenize your card number for ongoing benefit verification and purchases on the GigSky platform. As a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)-certified company, GigSky will only store the last four digits of your credit card number.
  • Can I use a different credit card other than my Visa Infinite or Visa Signature to pay for the Visa + GigSky offer?
    • No. You must set your eligible Visa Infinite or Visa Signature card as the default payment method on the GigSky app in order to access the Visa + GigSky benefit.
  • How can I get help with my GigSky account as a Visa cardholder?
    • For assistance with downloading the app, setting up your account and default payment method, redeeming the benefit or downloading the eSIM, contact GigSky’s customer care team at +1-650-924-9022 or submit a support request here. For questions regarding benefit eligibility, please contact your bank.
  • How do I unlock my device from a U.S. carrier so that I can use my eSIM with GigSky?
    • Devices purchased in the U.S. are sold unlocked unless they are financed by the mobile carrier. Different carriers have different financing plans and unlocking policies. Check out the GigSky Help Center article on the topic here, and check with your carrier for more information on how to unlock your mobile device, if necessary.
  • I have used all my data with my Visa + GigSky benefit. Can I purchase a separate plan if I need more data during my trip?
    • Absolutely! You are eligible to purchase any of GigSky’s plans to cover your data needs for the remainder of your trip.
  • How long do I have to activate the Visa + GigSky benefit plan?
    • From the time you redeem your GigSky global mobile data plan at checkout, you have 365 days to start using your global mobile data plan. After you activate your global mobile data plan, you have 15 or 30 days to use your cellular roaming data, depending on the global mobile data plan your card issuer offers. Verify your card in GigSky’s app for more details. You can purchase a data plan in your home country and activate it at your destination.
