Why GigSky
GigSky helps people stay connected all around the world. Through the GigSky app, users can choose a single data plan where and when they want. Select a plan from the app, download an eSIM and connect on the spot—no physical SIM card is required.

With the Visa + GigSky benefit, issuers can choose to provide a variety of GigSky plans with different data amounts and usage durations to international travelers through their eligible Visa card.
Innovative technology
In September of 2018, Apple launched the first Dual-SIM and eSIM-enabled smartphone, which enabled users to utilize two SIM cards simultaneously with traditional talk and SMS text services on one SIM card and cellular data service from the other. Moreover, with eSIM technology, one of the SIM cards could be downloaded over-the-air. Samsung, Google and other Android smartphone manufacturers quickly followed with their own Dual-SIM / eSIM devices and today, these Dual-SIM / eSIM-enabled smartphones have saturated the market and are commonly found among cardholders. International data roaming is a common use case for Dual-SIM / eSIM technology because it enables users to avoid the expensive and/or slow international data roaming offered by their primary mobile provider.
GigSky is a data-only service, so travelers won’t be able to make traditional voice calls or send and receive SMS text messages on the GigSky global network. Instead, travelers can use GigSky’s global data network to call and message using apps such as iMessage, FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp or Messenger Call and even use the GigSky data-only plan to hotspot for other devices after downloading the GigSky app, creating an account and setting their eligible Visa card as the default payment method.

Global Mobile Data plan offer terms & conditions
These global, mobile data plan options offer terms (these “Offer Terms”) apply to the promotional offer (the “Promotion”) made available to certain holders of an eligible Visa® branded credit card (an “Eligible Card”). Your redemption of any Promotional Plan (as defined below) constitutes your acceptance of these Offer Terms. You further acknowledge that any Promotional Plan continues to be subject to the standard [GigSky Terms of Service] [link to main GigSky terms] (the “GigSky Terms”) and the [GigSky Privacy Policy] [link to privacy policy] (the “Privacy Policy”) to which you have already agreed. Capitalized terms used herein but not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed such terms under the GigSky Terms.
Definitions:
- “Account Holder” or “you” means the person who has opened an account with GigSky and is eligible for this Promotion.
- “Promotional Plan” means any data plans or services provided to the Account Holder pursuant to this Promotion.
Description of Promotion:
- Participation in the Promotion requires that you have an Eligible Card issued in your name, that your Eligible Card account is in good standing, and that you add such Eligible Card as the default payment method in the GigSky App.
- Once you have added the Eligible Card as the default payment method in the GigSky App, you will be shown any Promotional Plans you are eligible for and you will be given the option to redeem one or more Promotional Plans.
- When redeeming a Promotional Plan, the GigSky App will identify the following terms related to your Promotional Plan: the amount of included data service, eligible countries and the maximum length of the plan. Any usage above the limits outlined in the Promotional Plan will require redeeming and activating another Promotional Plan (if you are eligible) or purchasing another Service plan with GigSky.
- Once redeemed, a Promotional Plan will be automatically activated once your eSIM is activated in a country covered by the Promotional Plan. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any redeemed Promotional Plan will be automatically activated thirty (30) days following the date of redemption.
Other Terms of the Promotion:
- The Promotion is solely offered by GigSky, Inc. (“GigSky”), and Visa is not providing any Promotional Plans or GigSky Products hereunder.
- GigSky reserves the right to terminate your Promotional Plan if you no longer hold an Eligible Card or such Eligible Card is no longer in good standing.
- GigSky reserves the right to terminate the Promotion or any Promotional Plan or change the terms of the Promotion or Promotional Plan at any time and without notice and in its sole and absolute discretion.
- The Promotion is personal and non-transferable. This Promotion cannot be combined with other discounts and/or promotions and is not redeemable for cash.
- The Promotion is void where prohibited by applicable law.
- GigSky reserves the right to deny you participation in the Promotion if GigSky suspects abuse or misuse of the Promotion, in its sole discretion.
You agree and acknowledge that GigSky may share your personal information with Visa and your credit card issuing bank in connection with redemption of the Promotion and use of a Promotional Plan.

- What benefits do I receive as a Visa Infinite or Visa Signature cardholder?
- Eligible Visa cardholders’ complimentary cellular data roaming for use in over 120 countries.
- Do I have to download the GigSky app to be eligible for this benefit?
- Yes. You must install the GigSky app on an unlocked eSIM-capable device, create a GigSky account and set up your Visa card as the default payment method to be eligible for this benefit.
- Who is eligible for these benefits?
- Any Visa Infinite or Visa Signature cardholder with an eligible Visa card - NOTE: Eligibility is subject to an issuing bank including the GigSky benefit.
- What phones and devices are eSIM-compatible?
- Most phones, including iPhones and Androids, as well as cellular-enabled iPads and Microsoft tablets, are compatible. Check with your device manufacturer for more information. If your device isn’t eSIM-compatible, you’ll need a GigSky SIM card, which you can purchase on Amazon.
- Can I transfer my plan to a different device?
- Unfortunately, no. An eSIM can be installed on a single device only, so you must use that device.
- When does this offer expire?
- The offer expiration date is at the issuer’s, Visa’s and GigSky’s discretion.

- The Visa + GigSky benefit is available in over 120 countries and territories, depending on the specific card issuer and type.

- GigSky offers a 100% data plan, so users will be able to call and message via data using apps such as WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage and FaceTime. - To redeem your complimentary GigSky global mobile data plan, install the GigSky app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on an unlocked eSIM-enabled device and set up an account. Follow the in-app prompts to discover and redeem your GigSky global mobile data plan.
- How many times can I redeem this benefit?
- The number of times you can redeem this benefit is determined by your card issuer.
- If I’ve already redeemed a complimentary GigSky global mobile data plan, when will I be eligible for another global mobile data plan?
- Eligibility parameters and timeframes are determined by card issuers.
- How will my Visa card number be used?
- Your Visa card number will be used to securely verify your card’s eligibility for this benefit. Following the initial verification, GigSky will tokenize your card number for ongoing benefit verification and purchases on the GigSky platform. As a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)-certified company, GigSky will only store the last four digits of your credit card number.
- Can I use a different credit card other than my Visa Infinite or Visa Signature to pay for the Visa + GigSky offer?
- No. You must set your eligible Visa Infinite or Visa Signature card as the default payment method on the GigSky app in order to access the Visa + GigSky benefit.
- How can I get help with my GigSky account as a Visa cardholder?

- How do I unlock my device from a U.S. carrier so that I can use my eSIM with GigSky?
- Devices purchased in the U.S. are sold unlocked unless they are financed by the mobile carrier. Different carriers have different financing plans and unlocking policies. - I have used all my data with my Visa + GigSky benefit. Can I purchase a separate plan if I need more data during my trip?
- Absolutely! You are eligible to purchase any of GigSky’s plans to cover your data needs for the remainder of your trip.
- How long do I have to activate the Visa + GigSky benefit plan?
- From the time you redeem your GigSky global mobile data plan at checkout, you have 365 days to start using your global mobile data plan before the plan duration timer starts. After you activate your global mobile data plan, you have 15 or 30 days to use your cellular roaming data, depending on the global mobile data plan your card issuer offers. Verify your card in GigSky’s app for more details. You can purchase a data plan in your home country and activate it at your destination.
