Typically, iMessage and FaceTime are directed to and from your phone number. GigSky SIMs are data only, so don't have an associated phone number. However, you can still use iMessage and FaceTime using GigSky data - you just can't use your GigSky service as an address to send or receive iMessage/FaceTime requests.
Enabling iMessage
- On your iOS device, tap Settings > Message and switch iMessage on.
- Tap Send & Receive.
- Select the email address that you want to use to send and receive messages. Typically, this will be one of the email addresses associated with your Apple ID.
Enabling FaceTime
- On your iOS device, tap Settings > FaceTime and switch FaceTime on.
- In the section"YOU CAN BE REACHED BY FACETIME AT", select the email address that you want to use to receive FaceTime calls. Typically, this will be one of the email addresses associated with your Apple ID.
